Start Here: Let’s Play Some Yard Games!

Hello everyone! Thanks for checking out Play Backyard Games! We are super excited about all that is to come with this company and you are probably wondering what it is all about. Play Backyard Games (PBG) was created because we have a passion for yard games of all kinds — at a tailgate, in a yard, at the beach, in a pool, at a wedding — we love it all. We love competition and we will accept a challenge to any game. You want to toss bags of corn into a hole 30 feet away? We accept. You want us to knock a bottle off a pole using only a frisbee? We accept.

It is this spirit that drove us to create Play Backyard Games. We want to show you how much fun it is to get outside and play games with friends and family. Spend less time on your devices (preferably only enough time to get our update on the latest new game) and go enjoy some good healthy competition. We don’t just want to be a store to buy from, we want to be a lifestyle to live by.

Yes, we will sell some amazing high quality yard games. If you are buying some tailgate games, you’re going to want to buy from us. Those big box stores cut corners and thus create cheap products that don’t last. We are experts and have built quite a few yard games (like… a lot), and we are always working to make them even better. So trust us when we say that our games will be there for you during all your tailgates.

Game Reviews

We don’t want to stop there though. If you’re like us, then you might enjoy trying out the newer games on the market. We’re always on the lookout for the next great game, so we will be sure to let you know about each game we find and try out. We’ll break down all the pros and cons of each game (i.e. portability, longer-term playability, where to play, pricing, etc.) so you can only buy the cool ones (like KanJam and Bulzibucket!) We’ll show you what they come with, the quality of the game, and how to play them.

Official Rules / How-To Play

Speaking of showing you how… we feel it is our mission to teach everyone how to play these games the RIGHT way. We will happily explain and show you the official rules. Somebody at your tailgate a bit confused on the proper way to play? You can just point them to our site. Maybe you’re introducing a yard game Rookie to the wonderful world of cornhole — just send them the link to our video. We got your back.

Yard Game Tournaments

Why do all of this if we don’t get out and actually play some!? We’ll have regular tournaments. We plan to switch it up with what we play, but you can bet there will be lots of cornhole and all the other games we introduce you to. So if you’re in the Houston area, be sure to stay alert (i.e subscribe to our newsletter. do it) for all our yard game tournaments. They will be epic.
