2018 PBG Disc Golf Winter Classic - Registration Open!

We are excited to announce our first annual PBG Disc Golf Winter Classic!

Disc golf is taking off in popularity, and we are happy to help continue that. If you follow us on social media, you know we are all about getting together and playing games of all types — and Disc Golf is quickly becoming one of our favorites for doing just that. It involves all our favorites of being outdoors, competition with friends, and throwing stuff at targets.

If you’re new to the disc golf scene, then this tournament will be a great place for you to start your love journey with disc golf. We’ll have lots of opportunities to win prizes and it will be a great time of throwing plastic no matter what your skill level is. (Be sure to check out our post on the best discs and gear to get started with if you haven’t already!) It will also feature some stiff competition for you wily vets, so don’t get too overconfident if you consider yourself a disc slinging master.

But enough ado, let’s talk details:

PBG Disc Golf Winter Classic

Location: Northside Christian Church Disc Golf Course (map)

Date: Saturday morning, January 13th, 2018

Event Fee: $10 (to be divided into $1 for long drive, $1 for CTP, $1 for putting contest, $4 for raffle prizes, $3 for 1st place winner)

Day of Event Schedule:

8AM – Player Check-in

8:45AM – Players Meeting (go over rules, etc.)

9AM – Group 1 Tee Off

10:45AM – Putting Contest

11AM – Award Ceremony & Raffle

Competitions & Prizes:

There will be a lot of opportunity for prizes, so come ready to win big:

Long Drive Competition (Hole 1) – Yes, rip your arm out of your socket right from the get go. Crush your drive, keep it in the fairway, and you could win the $1 from each tournament participant.

Closest to Pin (Hole 5) – Hole 5 is a skillful 228ft. straight shot, but with a mando tree just to your right. Shoot the gap with a laser straight shot, or RHBH anny it, or RHFH it with a gentle flick, or just be a lucky lefty and throw it normal — either way, closest to the basket wins the prize of $1 from each tournament participant.

Ring of Fire Putting Contest – After your round, you’re not done yet! We’ll be holding a Ring of Fire putting contest to determine the winner of yet another $1 from each tournament participant! Everyone circles the basket and putts at the same time! You miss, you’re out. Continue until only ONE remains.

Champion, Round Low Score – After a grueling 18 holes, there will only be ONE TRUE CHAMPION! From tee pad to basket, count your throws for all 18 holes, and lowest number wins! You will win $3 from each tournament participant AND more importantly… you will be crowned the 2018 PBG DISC GOLF WINTER CLASSIC CHAMPION!

RAFFLES – Have a bad day on the course? Well you still have a chance at going home with something! We’ll be raffling off some Premium Discs, a GIANT JENGA SET, VIP Special Event Seating, and MORE!
